Fresh From the Wood Shop

But first... some kitty kat kapers.
Well, there Hercules is again hanging out on the catwalk, supervising. At least he's awake this time.
But, look who's sleeping on the job now... Hermes!
It's been an interesting few days with the freezing weather you know the furry kids can't stay out as long and some of them won't go out at all. So we've been pulling double "doody" duty on the litter box... lol.
LilLil is the bravest of them all, even though I'm afraid she'll freeze to the ground if she's out there too long. I keep reminding myself that they're equipped for this kind of weather.
No, this is not the same noodle board in these photos, but two different ones.
One for mom and the other for her step daughter. I am so pleased with how they turned out. Thank you ladies!
Another rolling pin keep for a customer. Enlarge the pic and notice the punch needle perched on top of the woodcraft. I got it from Debbie of Woolensails and love it dearly, along with the nice smelling pin keep filled with greenery. Sorry Deb, I forgot what kind, but I know it's the good kind. Debbie makes the most awesome creations and I think she should sell them on Etsy or her blog, but... she doesn't.
We hadn't made one of these in awhile. This sweet gal is going to display her grandpa's handcarved woodcrafts on it. It'll be dear to her heart.
I had fun finishing this one in Society Hill Blue and got to distress and grubby it up for a fine customer. I'm happy how it turned out and hope she is too.
Well, off to finish some more orders. Until next time... follow the "Golden Rule".

Busy - busy, Carol. You are always making fine pieces. Keep those kitties warm! We won't let ours go in the workshop again until Spring/Summer. They use the breezeway to the shop, they're indoor kitties.

You do such beautiful work, Carol...happy customers for sure!
Your kitties are so cute! I have two of my own, and they can be so funny. They'll go out for a few minutes, but they want right back in when it's cold.
Hope you have a great weekend. :)

You sure have been busy and everything is just fantastic, as usual :)

Your furkids are so sweet. My Mom had to take her cats to the vet this morning. Mittens is atleast 16 years old and not doing very well. He's really thin and hasn't been feeling well. He has an ear infection and a possible brain tumor :( My Mom has to take him back in a week for a check up.

Love the stove boards, nice prim finish.
I think the rougher, sanded down pieces are wonderful and they look so great in the house.

There are many days I wish my dogs would let us have some kitties. *sigh*
when we lived in the country, we had all kinds of animals and they all got along. for some reason, these ones just cannot. POOH! someday, I will have me a kitty or two.
your wood crafts are beautiful as always. glad to hear you got your mojo back. got any to spare? I seem to be running a bit low today....

Doesn't look like you are getting much help out of the kitties... they are enjoying being lazy, haha.

Love your handmades Carol! You and hubby do such fine work. I hope this is the year that I will grace my home with some of your pieces. =]

Hey Carol, I was looking at your Etsy for the piece that's in the last picture that is painted Society Hill Blue. Is it called Primitive Rolling Pin Spoon Peg Woodenware Rack? Also, I have a pin that my dad hand turned many years ago that I want to display on it but it is thicker than the regular ones. It's hard to measure, but it looks like it is about 3 1/4" thick. Would it fit in this rack? Thanks for your help! =]
