Meet Me By the Willow Tree

Hi folks! A beautiful day in southeast Ohio after the awesome storm we had last night that sent our almighty Hercules cowering under the bed. Made me miss the tail end of my favorite show "The Walking Dead", but I stayed up for the encore showing. Ha! All is back to safe n sound today and hubby is gearing up to mow lawns for the Summer.
Postman dropped off my package from Linda Claus and what was in it touched our hearts. A couple of the needle crafts are in this photo. Just precious. Oh, and the rolling pin keep is for a customer, and again I used Angie's ditty bags.
One for a mother and a daughter and another for hubby and I with our wedding date. Nice and prim and just the sweetest gifts from Linda.
The little pillow tuck says it all. Linda is real good at this needle craft thing and keeps getting better.
Here I've displayed one over our prim gathering.
Luckily today our supervisor is on his toes and checking to make sure all is going up to standards. I love my quilted sawdust pillow tucks from Angie of Berry Homespun Primitives.
Then I've got this old rolling pin that I'm wanting to give away to someone from my first 25 comments again. It's a little ratty tatty, but has all the looks of a well used wooden ware and would compliment someone's collection. I've got more photos of all the different cookie designs on it if you want to have a look see, just let me know.
I leave you with this picture to ponder of hubby working hard and showing me his better side as he's always reminding me... lol. He's now off to mow a lawn. I thank y'all for following and visiting this old gal. I hope I can cause a good giggle or belly laugh on occasion to improve on your health :o)
Stop back soon!
Carol

Hi Carol!! LOVE your sense of humor! You never cease to bring a smile to my face! Lovely items from Linda! And I'm not gonna comment on DH's backside! Please DO NOT enter me into the Giveaway. The rolling pin is sweet but I'm not a collector and it would be better for someone else to win who is. I know you couldn't resist picking me as you love me too much!!
Have a great day!

Hi, Carol:
Glad your storm is over. Linda is incredible the way she thinks of everyone, and she is very good at the stitcheries.
I have a supervisor that looks like yours! Hubby looks embarrassed.
It's gorgeous for mowing lawns here, 75 degrees.
I love your cookie print rolling pin.
Hugs,
Susan

Carol,

Sorry you missed some of your show but a momma has got to look after her fur baby when he's afraid. Love the stitches goodies from Linda. She is getting really good with her needle and thread. Love the rolling pin keep too. I am gonna have to start collecting pins so I have a reason for a pin keep! LOL!

It's a beautiful day in Maryland today too. Have a good one.

Our Bella Boo hates the thunder storms too, she is soo little though she prefers to be held the entire time during a storm because other wise she is in the bed under the covers snoozing, that is her favorite spot! I hope you have a great week!
Hugs,
Lynn

My grandmother had a rolling pin similar to yours. She used it at Christmas time to roll out her German Springala (sp) anis cookies. They were soft and so yummy. Thanks for jogging a fond memory!
Blessings, Anita

Hi Carol,

This weather is so unpredictable to say the least. Glad y'all fared well. Furbabbies are a good indicator of a bad storm to come. Linda is such a sweetie~ I love the stitchings she sent me. Don't let hubby work to hard~ think it's gonna be a long cutting season this year.
Thanks for sharing!
Blessings,
Jean

Wonderful gifts you got from Linda, I especially like the pillow tuck. Your hubby looks like mine, especially in the navy clothes, which he always wears when he goes out to work.....which used to include a lot of lawn mowing! Really love the rolling pin with the cookie designs!!
Have a great night :)

Lovely stitceries from Miss Linda....What a sweet package of lovin'.....Glad to see your supervisor is back on duty....although that photo of him snoozing still makes me chuckle. I'd love to bury my face in his furry little belly. And another sweet little giveaway....we're going to have to call you the giveaway queen.....Actually it was sweet Linda Claus who started me on my rolling pin addiction....I have more than 3 so I can officially call it a "collection" right? And I don't have one like that....too sweet. Thanks Sweeties. Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Hi Carol,
Glad to hear that everything is back to normal after the storms. I could hear thunder in the distance last night, but we never did get a storm.
Great stitcheries from Linda!! I have some that she sent to me this past Fall...just love her hand-work!!
I think I'm number 25 in leaving a comment...and I just love that little rolling pin. It would look great with my collection. Hope it says it wants to come home to live with me.

So glad you made it through the storm. The weather has been crazy everywhere lately it seems!

Love all the pictures, so many wonderful items (swooning over that rolling pin keep!), and I have never seen a rolling pin like that one!

Glad you all made it safely through the storm!

Sweet stitcheries from Linda! I just love that willow tree design and anything personalized like that is fun to have in the home.

So glad you like the sawdust pillows! I just love those hand-stitched quilted pieces. They are too fragile to try and make a quilt with them but I had to do something with them. They are just too wonderful to keep all to myself!

Ah man! Dang kids on spring break this week and I missed your awesome giveaway! I have been trying to get a rolling pin like that but I just can't afford what they are going for around here. Wish I could find one at a garage sale but I'm NOT giving up, the thrill of the hunt is the best part anyway, lol.

LOL, poor Tim. I think he's giving you that back side on purpose, haha. I've taken pics of my hubby like this too, most of the time he turns around and shows me his rear on purpose. The things we do to entertain each other, ha!
