What's a Happenin' in this Hot Stuff?

Well folks, I gotta tell you, it's hot in my neck of the woods! In the 80's which has forced us to turn the ac on. I've posted another customer photo to our feedback blog and you're welcome to take a peek.
For our friend, customer, and talented Folk Artist, Barb of Village Folk Art. Barb requested it be beefed up so I passed the message on to hubby, repeatedly until finally he told me, "It's so beefy, it's got horns!" LOL... Barb and I got a good laugh outta that one.
With bread board ends on the table top and lots of space in the trough. Barb is going to set her sewing machine on this one after she gets it painted. I'm hoping I can get her to share pics with us.
I was going through some old baskets and found this needle craft kit and thought, what the heck, so I'm working on it. It's a 16 x 20 piece. I'm thinking of grunging it up... what ya think?
Here's my inspiration for our front porch. I'm still anxiously awaiting for it to be finished. I'd love to have all the block in the front and side covered with siding too. Someday my dream will come true :o)
Peace~Carol

Carol, Your sawbuck tables are wonderful. I'm sending my youngest to your house, he keeps whining because it's so hot in this house. I just can't bring myself to turn on the AC in March. Told him to go to the basement last night and enjoy the free kind of AC. I'm not going to be liking it when (if) it gets cold again! ~Ann

Carol ... For sure, I will send a picture when this 'sawbuck table' is painted. It will be perfect for my needs. Need to get started on the 'Abe Lincoln' frame you made for me too. It's been hectic (a good hectic) here, but not hot ... in the 70's is a great comfort zone for me. It'll be HOT when it gets 100+ here in the Mojave Desert. Plus side, NO humidity.
Anyways, Thanks both of you, I am so glad I found "FIRECRACKER KID PRIMITIVES".

Much Peace,
Barb

Great table!! That will be perfect for a sewing machine. Now if I only had room for a table! I hate having to drag my machine out and setting it up when I want to use it, and then taking it back down again. Hmmmm - I didn't know you did needlework like that....I had many embroidery/crewel kits from years ago that I never got around to. Finally donated them to the local nursing homes, etc. Can't wait to see your porch finished - that is a beautiful inspiration photo. Like my daddy said - it doesn't cost anything to dream. ;o) Smiles & Thursday Hugs ~ Robin

Goodness... what'd y'all do? Skip spring and go right into summer? It's definitely spring here... been raining all week. Not good for the kids on spring break but I don't mind it.

Awesome table! Beefy with horns... hahaha, too funny! That's a cool needle craft kit you found. Of course you should grunge it up! Oh wait, I'm the one that grunges every single piece of material that my hands touch, lol.

I really like your inspiration photo. One of these days you will be able to stand in your yard and look at your home and totally love everything you have done. It just might take awhile... it's been 5.5 years and I'm still waiting, ha!

Have a grand weekend my friend~
