Calling All Seamstresses

I'm looking for someone who would be willing to barter/trade. I need slip covers for my new furniture. This first photo is the furniture in the store and I like these types of throw pillows.
That would include sofa, chair, ottoman, and pillows. I'm liking the farmhouse chic or prairie chic style with the creams, linens, ruffles, etc. We'll be painting the walls an off white as well as our kitchen cabinets. Whoo! That sounds like a lot of work to me... lol.
I've got green and ivory going right now and we'll be laying a light colored wood flooring. I've been looking on pinterest and other places online.
Meanwhile Tim worked on a DIY project today, starting on our railing that will run across our front porch. I'm thinking we should have trimmed our mums by now. I need a green thumb!
Making progress a little at a time.
We've got a herd of eight does that have taken over our backyard.
So we've been deer watching while they eat the leaves off our Mountain Laurel.
I'll leave you with my little buddy Hermes with a certain look of contentment. He's a sweetie for sure.

Morning Carol,
kicking myself for not learning to upholster or make slipcovers from my MIL years ago. She had a wonderful home business that kept her extremely busy. Often times you couldn't tell the slipcovers from the upholstered piece! I've been wanting to recover our living from set and get rid of the green/cream country check! Not going to happen for a while. Good luck finding someone.
I bet the deer a fun to watch.
Have a great week~
Blessings,
Sheila

I just love when the deer come around. I enjoy watching them, I never get tired of them.

Hermes looks like a sweetie!

Wow ... that sounds like a big project. Sadly I am no seamstress. BUT, many years ago I took an upholstery class cause our sofa needed to be re done. I did it and have no desire to repeat that project.
Your ideas sound wonderful and Tim is surely keeping busy.
How lucky you are to have those sweet deer visit your home...we get coyotes here in the Mojave. Wanna trade?
I'll take Hermes too.

I wish I could help you out, but I wouldn't even know where to begin. The pictures of the deer are really neat! Thanks for sharing with us. :)

Hi Carol, your furniture is so pretty and the pillows in the store are perfect. The light color flooring will be so pretty with the olive and ivory. I am partial to the greens:) You have some fun projects going. The railing will be so nice when it's done. How fun to have deer. My MIL gets them from time to time. They are so pretty and graceful. It's wonderful you want to barter with someone for goodes. That's how life should be. We are all blessed with talents and it's great to share and trade. You will find someone who can do it:) It will be a fun trade and a new friendship as well. -Steph-

Goodness girl that sounds like lots of work! But it will be worth it in the end when you're sitting on your new furniture looking around at your "new home". A little bit here and there is how you get it to where you want it to be... but I'm always coming up with something else before we get one thing finished, lol! Tim does such a good job on his projects, love the new rail!

You're so fortunate to see all those deer in your yard. I'm always pulling off the side of the road to watch them in the fields out by our house because they never come to our house. I love to sit and watch them.

Have a delightful week~

I don't know if they are still in business but there was an online store called POTATO SKINS who made reasonably priced slipcovers that fit really tightly hence the name.

Your sidewalk turned out just great. Your new furniture is pretty. Good luck with your slipcovers. You spend so much time painting creations for others I bet painting for yourself will be so much of a treat for a change. The railing is great. Hermes looks cozy. Blessings! Lara

You and hubby never stop working!! I have slipcovers just like those on my furniture (mistake with kitty hair). I don't know anyone you could trade with. You'll probably find someone, though.
I'm going to look for your flossbox on Etsy.
Have a lovely day tomorrow!
Hugs,
Susan
